Marta Dormal
I am a doctoral candidate at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I am also a member of the SEED lab, a graduate affiliate at the Institute for Quantitative Social Science, a graduate student associate at the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies, and a Stone PhD Scholar in Inequality and Wealth Concentration.
My research focuses on Early Childhood Development (ECD) issues, specifically on developing instruments to measure the quality of Early Childhood education programs in Majority World countries. My research uses quantitative methods, in particular psychometric and econometric techniques.
Before joining Harvard, I was a researcher on ECD at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington D.C. I also conducted impact evaluations with J-PAL/IPA in Uganda and worked for the Ministry of Finance of Djibouti through the ODI Fellowship Scheme.
I hold a master’s in Economics from the University of Oxford, United Kingdom, and an Ed.M in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University.
